When G.F Smith introduced new shades to the Colorplan range we were thrilled to see Slate.
A shade to sit between Ebony and Dark Grey. Since then we have been printing on Slate regularly and it’s proving to be a popular shade with customers.
Slate is particularly well suited to foiling and being from the Colorplan heritage we know how well the surface can take a foil print. Crisp, sharp and with enough bite for the finest detail.
Designer Sophie Jackson was concerned how well the delicate type and signature would hold up on press. After checking the artwork we knew that with the right foil grade and paper we could faithfully reproduce the design and provide her client with perfect business cards.
It was an easy choice; 540gsm Colorplan Slate with a satin silver foil.
